Snow Days

Saturday night, Annistyn and I drove to Nashville to go to a Christmas party with some of my Nashville friends and Carrie and Adam's. Before we left, I decided to finally change out Annistyn's carseats. I installed her new carseat and took out the infant carrier.

Annistyn got to spend a little time playing with Garrett, before she had to go to bed.

After the party, we went to spend the night at Corrie and Eric's. Sunday after church, we went to Kayli's birthday party at JumpZone! We had so much fun.

While we were at the party, it started snowing quite a bit. Katy and the boys were riding back with us, and we decided we better head on back home. I'm so glad we left when we did...it took us 4 hours to get home (usually 1 and half hour trip).

Yesterday was a snow day, so Annistyn and I had a lazy day. We both stayed in our pajamas and didn't leave the house all day. Annistyn got to enjoy some of her new toys she got for her birthday. She loves her new rocking horse from her Aunt Katy, Uncle Dave, Tripp, and Tucker.

Last night, Annistyn and I snuggled up in my chair and watched a little TV.

Annistyn woke up this morning with some crazy hair!

We were out of school again today. Annistyn and I spent most of the day making room for some of her new toys. Sorry daddy...we have taken over your man cave!

Annistyn tried to help me with her laundry tonight. Then, she tried to put her shirts on by herself! She is such a mess!

Warning...you are about to experience a picture overload!

Today, we celebrated Annistyn's 1st birthday. We had a Minnie Mouse themed party with family and friends. Annistyn is extremely blessed and has the absolute best family and friends. We all had so much fun!

1 Year Old

Today you are 1 one year old! The day before you were born, your daddy and I had gone to Cookeville for my appointment with Dr. Casal. Since you hadn't come yet, we knew he would be setting a date to induce. We didn't know that he was going to say go to the hospital tonight! Needless to say, we weren't quite ready. We had to rush back home, grab a bite to eat, and pack! Dr. Casal told me I shouldn't eat anything, but knew I would be starving, so I ate a plain grilled chicken wrap from Sonic. We were supposed to be at the hospital at 6:00, but we were a little late. Your daddy drove extremely SLOW! He has never driven slow in his life! We finally made it to the hospital around 6:30.

It was a very long night! There wasn't much sleeping going on. Your Aunt Katy and Aunt Corrie stayed until the wee hours of the morning. When we knew you wouldn't be coming until the next day, they went home for a little rest. Our night was filled with loud beeping machines and nurses coming in and out just to check on you.

The next morning, you had lots of visitors. Aunt Katy and Aunt Corrie came back, along with Grandmama, Granddaddy, Nana, Pa, and "Uncle Justin". Things went very quickly and much easier than I ever imagined. You finally arrived at 12:38 weighing 7lbs 4 oz.

We love you more than you can ever imagine!

Here are my attempts to get pictures with Annistyn and a sign saying she is 12 months old. I don't think you can actually see the sign in any of the pictures.

Annistyn, what are you up to these days?

  • You wear size 12 months clothes and size 3 shoes.

  • You wear a size 3 diaper.

  • You weigh 22.2 pounds.

  • You are still not walking, but crawling all over the place and pulling up.

  • You can say mama, daddy, bye bye, hi, eat, and ho, ho, ho! You are try to copy what everyone else says.
  • You can wave, clap, play peek-a-boo, blow kisses, and when someone asks you where your pretty eyes are, you will blink them. Your Mama Karen and Papa Tim taught you that trick, and it is so cute.
  • You are eating just about everything. You also no longer drink from a bottle.
  • You have to have your lovey and paci when you go to sleep.
  • You usually take 2 naps a day and sleep about 12-13 hours each night.
  • You are getting to be such a big girl and are extremely happy! We pray that you continue to be happy and healthy!

Long Day

Today was a very LONG day! I had Parent/Teacher Conferences after school today. Annistyn stayed with Karen until I got to leave at 6:15. I'm so thankful Annistyn has decided she can stay up past 6:00 these days, so we were able to play for a little while before she went to bed. She was able to stay up until about 7:30.

This morning, Annistyn did not want to wake up. We have to leave the house around 7:20 in the mornings, so if Annistyn is not awake by 7:00 then I usually wake her up. This morning I went in her room, turned on the lights, and started making noises to try and get her to wake up. After about 15 minutes, I finally had to just get her up. This is what she looked like right before I finally had to pick her up!

We took this picture tonight while we were playing to text to Josh, who is working in Alabama again this week.

We miss you daddy!

Annistyn has several cute Christmas outfits that I'm so excited that she can finally start wearing. I ordered her a new pair of red shoes off ebay to wear with all her Christmas outfits.

Aren't they super cute? You can also change the bow out and put different ones on! Oh, and Annistyn's favorite part...they are squeaky shoes! She loves squeaky shoes, even though she can't walk yet. She loves to hang on to something and try to jump up and down to make the squeak. I'm sure when she starts walking I will be trying to figure out how to take the squeaker out!

They are calling for snow tonight! I don't think there is going to be any accumulation, but it is still exciting to hear the word snow in the forecast!

What's New?

It has been a crazy few weeks. Josh has been working in Alabama every week and coming home on the weekends. Annistyn and I both had the stomach virus...definitely not fun! There is nothing worse then seeing your baby sick and not being able to help! She was pitiful. Last week, Josh ended up staying home from work, because he had bronchitis. It was nice to have him home, but we just wish he wasn't sick. I think everyone in our house is now well!

We went to Cindy's to celebrate Thanksgiving with Josh's side of the family on Thursday. We went to Pet and Granddaddy's on Saturday to celebrate. We have definitely eaten plenty.

I think Annistyn's top teeth in the middle are finally starting to poke through! She has been a little fussy at night and putting everything in her mouth! For the most part, she is still a very happy girl!

I know, this has been the most random post, but here a some pictures from the last few weeks.

This is how Annistyn has decided to suck on her paci...upside down!

Here she is looking cute in her bib from her "Uncle" Justin.

It's rough being a baby!

Some nights when daddy is out of town, Annistyn and I stay at Grandmama's and Granddaddy's. The best part...Granddaddy's pancakes!

Annistyn has become a little mooch! She will be best friends with whomever has food. When that person's food runs out, she will go to the next person. Here she is taking some food from Pop-Pop!
