18 Month Check Up

Annistyn had her 18 month check up today. She now weighs 26 pounds and is 33 inches long. Everything went well, and she is very healthy. As soon as they walked in to check her out, Annistyn started talking her head off. They couldn't believe how much she talked. They said she talks much more than most babies her age. I have a feeling she is going to take after her daddy in the talking department! She also had to get 2 shots today, but did pretty well with them. She just cried for a minute.

After supper tonight, I let Annistyn sit on the couch and watch an episode of Mickey Mouse. While she was watching it, I asked her if I could take her picture. She quickly responded with, "Yeah." I told her to look at me, smile, and show me her teeth, and this is what I got.

What am I going to do with this girl? All the other pictures I tried to take ended up like this.

We're Going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo

On Friday, after swimming lessons, Katy, Tripp, Tucker, Annistyn, and I went to the Nashville Zoo to meet Corrie, Kayli, Alex, and his friend Joe. We had a great time, but it was extremely hot and a lot of walking!

Here is Annistyn at the entrance.

The cousins

Looking at the birds.

Annistyn is OBSESSED with the fish! She laid in the floor and cried when we had to move on.

Checking out the animals with Alex.

Navigating the zoo.

This is how we all felt by the end of the day! lol

Annistyn got a new zoo hat for being a good girl at the zoo.

Finally, here are a few pictures of Annistyn from Memorial Day.

Catching Up

I have been pretty busy lately, so I'm going to do my best to catch up.

On March 3, our thoughts were confirmed when I took this test...

Annistyn is going to be a big sister! She is also getting a new cousin! Katy and I found out we were pregnant on the same day!

I also officially have my Master's degree now. For those that don't believe me, here's the proof...

I officially graduated in May! I have now, also completed 12 hours towards my Ed.S. degree. I'm taking a full load of classes this summer and this fall and should have my degree in December. After I graduate in December, I never plan on going back to school again. I know, never say never, but I atleast need a long break!

After walking like this for a while...

Annistyn finally started walking. It just took her 17 months. Better late than never!

Annistyn turned 18 months old last week. For her 1/2 birthday, her daddy bought her a new trampoline. She loves to jump!

For the majority of the time, Annistyn is still her sweet and funny self, but we think she's hit a touch of the terrible 2's a little early. I said it's because she's so mature for her age she already acts like she's 2! lol Some of her new favorite things to say are "NO!" "uh uh" and "STOP IT!" Some of her other favorite things to do are to hit, bite, and lay in the floor and scream! What are we going to do with this girl? She is proving to be pretty stubborn! We are doing our best to teach her manners and right from wrong. I'm glad she is a strong-willed child, but she has to learn when it's okay and when it's not.

When she's not having a small tantrum, she is the sweetest and funniest little girl. She is talking quite a bit and learning more and more words everyday! She has a pretty big vocabulary for her age, and we think she is just a genius! What's my favorite thing she says right now? "Love you!" Talk about melting your heart. It's the sweetest thing ever!

Summertime is officially here, and we have been swimming quite a bit at my parent's house. Annistyn loves the water and is sad when we have to get out!

Here are some pictures from my phone of some of the things Annistyn has been up to lately.

Swinging at Mama Karen's

Eating "torn" with Pa

Loving bath time

Annistyn's bedroom is over the garage, so some days she will stand on her stool, look out her window, and see if she can see her daddy come home. She will just look out the window and say, "Daddy, daddy, daddy!"

She got to have a "picnic" for supper and watch "Pete" (or Mickey Mouse)

We also went to the Zoo today, but Corrie was the "official" photographer, so when I get the pictures from today, I will add them to the blog. I'm hoping to start doing better at keeping the blog updated!
