TROUBLE

We have decided to change Annistyn's middle name to TROUBLE! She is into everything these days. You can't take your eye off of her for a second. She is really fast and really sneaky. She is constantly trying to sneak up the stairs and is very fast at doing this.

The other night when I was cooking supper, I had went outside to flip over whatever was on the grill. Normally Annistyn will just sit in the kitchen while I do this, since the grill is right outside the kitchen door. Actually, she usually sits by the door and cries while I do this. Even though I hate that she cries, I know that she is not going anywhere or getting into anything. Anyways, back to my story. I was outside flipping what was on the grill and I heard the kitchen door open. I thought it was Josh coming to tell me something, so I turned around to see what he wanted. It wasn't Josh...it was a sweet little girl with a BIG smile on her face that immediately yelled "Mommy!" when I turned around. Yes, Annistyn has figured out how to open doors!

The other morning while I was in the shower, Annistyn was playing in the floor of the bathroom like she usually does. I keep a bag full of toys in there for her to play with so I can keep an eye on her while I take my shower. She got really quiet for a minute, so I pulled the shower curtain back to see what she was doing. She had unrolled an entire roll of toilet paper! Again, you could tell she was so proud of herself. When I got out of the shower, I took a quick picture of the mound of toilet paper.

So, what did I do with the mound of toilet paper, you ask? I rolled it back up for us to use! Toilet paper is not cheap! When Josh got home from work, I asked him if he noticed anything about the toilet paper, and he said no even though he had used some. He is obviously not very observant. How could you not notice the wildly rolled back up roll of toilet paper?

Pigtails

This morning, Annistyn and I went to Tripp's Upward basketball game. It was his last game of the season. He kept telling everybody we was playing for the 'ship! You know, like the championship! He cracks me up! Where does he get this stuff? Of course, Annistyn went crazy when she saw Uppy the Puppy! She even went our to half court to dance with him in between quarters (thanks to Megan Holland).

Annistyn's hair is really starting to grow! We decided to give her a new 'do today! What do you think?

Annistyn and Garrett

Melissa (my college roommate), her husband Daniel, and their little boy Garrett, drove to Sparta today to get pictures take. I was so excited to get to see them! Even though they just live in Nashville, life has become extremely busy and we hardly ever get to see each other anymore.

As soon as school was over, I got Annistyn, and we went to my parents' house where they were getting some pictures taken. We then drove to the Witzigman's house to get some more pictures taken outside. Of course, we had to get a picture of Annistyn and Garrett taken together since they are getting married....when they are 30, of course!

How cute are they? Annistyn is exactly 4 weeks older than Garrett. I can't wait to watch them grow up together and be able to interact with each other more! We love you guys and miss you! Come back to Sparta again soon!

Valentine's Day

Josh had to work last night, so on his way home from work this morning, he stopped and got me pancakes for breakfast! They were so yummy! He also brought me some beautiful roses.

Chandler Putman took some Valentine pictures of Kayli and Annistyn after church yesterday. They turned out really cute. Chandler is extremely talented and only 15 years old!

Wiggle Time

Tonight, Annistyn and I picked up Katy, Tripp, and Tucker and went to Wiggle Time in Cookeville for Joel Greene's birthday party. I wasn't sure how Annistyn would do since she isn't walking yet, but she loved it. We had so much fun. Everybody was worn out and ready for bed when the party was over. Here are a few pictures from our fun night.

14 Months

  • Sweet Annistyn, you are now 14 months old! Taking pictures of you are getting harder and harder. You are constantly moving.

What are you up to these days?
  • You are still not walking, but you are crawling all over the place.
  • You are wearing size 12 months clothes, size 3 diapers, and size 3 shoes.
  • I don't think we have found anything yet that you do not like to eat.
  • You can show us where your eyes, nose, teeth, ears, hair, belly button, and pigs(toes) are.
  • Your vocabulary is growing everyday. Some of the words you say are mommy, daddy, puppy, eat, milk, night-night, bye bye, hello, pa, nana, pop pop, juice, thank you, bow, belly.
  • You can bark like a dog and meow like a cat.
  • Everyday when we get home from school, we have to go see Jake or you throw a fit.
  • You are still taking 2 naps a day and sleeping 12 hours each night.
  • You have learned to crawl up the stairs and can do it very quickly.
  • You can shake you head yes and no.
  • You weigh about 22 pounds.

You are becoming more like a little girl every single day, and you are so funny! You have the best laugh and the prettiest smile. We love you like crazy!

Lately

Life has been extremely hectic lately! I am taking 9 hours at Tech, working on my Ed.S. I hope to finish in a year! Josh is back to working nights, so my mom has been helping with Annistyn while I have class.

During some of our many snow days, my mom came over, and we painted our hallway. I forgot to take a before picture, but it was just a boring creme color. We painted it Chocolate by Porter. I love the way it turned out.

This isn't the best picture, but you get the idea.

Annistyn's toys have seem to taken over, so Josh has been working on making her a playroom. He rearranged the exercise room and fit the desk/office stuff in with all the exercise equipment. We ordered a huge baby gate from Babies R Us to separate the exercise/office area and the doorway to the bathroom. Here is the new playroom area, before we actually moved all her toys over.

Here is the new office area.

And finally, here is the new exercise area.

You would think with all this equipment I would be in better shape, but no! I guess I spent too much time on the office side doing homework!

Last weekend, we went to Tripp's Upward basketball game. Annistyn wanted to be out there playing so badly. She was in LOVE with the mascot, Uppy the Puppy. She went crazy everytime she saw him. She would literally yell so loud until he would come see her.

What else have I been up to this week you ask? Losing my mind, apparently! So, Tuesday morning, Josh gets up early, as usual, and goes to the Cafe to eat breakfast. He pulls back in the driveway as Annistyn and I are walking out the door to go to school. We talk to him for a minute, he gives me some lunch money, and we say our goodbyes. I then proceed to buckle Priss in, I get in the car, and put it in reverse to leave. All of a sudden....BOOM! I just backed over Josh's truck! Do you remember a few sentences before when I said I watched Josh pull in the driveway! I'm telling you, I'm losing my mind. Oh yeah, did I mention Josh just got this truck the day before!!!!

The insurance office was already closed when he bought this truck, so he was planning on going this afternoon to get insurance on this truck. It took 3 days for the insurance company to finally decide our existing insurance would cover fixing his truck and my Yukon. His truck was messed up pretty badly...apparently I have a lead foot! The most shocking part of the whole story - Josh didn't yell one single time. I think he felt so bad for me because I was hysterical. I'm sorry to say there were no pictures taken during this exciting morning.

The other night while Josh was at work, Annistyn crawled over to a pair of Josh's shoes, pulled the socks out of them, and put her cup of milk in them. Pretty smart, if I do say so myself. They made the perfect cup holder while she was playing. Whenever she would get thirsty, she would just crawl over, pull her cup out of the shoe, take a drink, put it back in, and then proceed playing. She is so funny!
