Catching Up

I have been pretty busy lately, so I'm going to do my best to catch up.

On March 3, our thoughts were confirmed when I took this test...

Annistyn is going to be a big sister! She is also getting a new cousin! Katy and I found out we were pregnant on the same day!

I also officially have my Master's degree now. For those that don't believe me, here's the proof...

I officially graduated in May! I have now, also completed 12 hours towards my Ed.S. degree. I'm taking a full load of classes this summer and this fall and should have my degree in December. After I graduate in December, I never plan on going back to school again. I know, never say never, but I atleast need a long break!

After walking like this for a while...

Annistyn finally started walking. It just took her 17 months. Better late than never!

Annistyn turned 18 months old last week. For her 1/2 birthday, her daddy bought her a new trampoline. She loves to jump!

For the majority of the time, Annistyn is still her sweet and funny self, but we think she's hit a touch of the terrible 2's a little early. I said it's because she's so mature for her age she already acts like she's 2! lol Some of her new favorite things to say are "NO!" "uh uh" and "STOP IT!" Some of her other favorite things to do are to hit, bite, and lay in the floor and scream! What are we going to do with this girl? She is proving to be pretty stubborn! We are doing our best to teach her manners and right from wrong. I'm glad she is a strong-willed child, but she has to learn when it's okay and when it's not.

When she's not having a small tantrum, she is the sweetest and funniest little girl. She is talking quite a bit and learning more and more words everyday! She has a pretty big vocabulary for her age, and we think she is just a genius! What's my favorite thing she says right now? "Love you!" Talk about melting your heart. It's the sweetest thing ever!

Summertime is officially here, and we have been swimming quite a bit at my parent's house. Annistyn loves the water and is sad when we have to get out!

Here are some pictures from my phone of some of the things Annistyn has been up to lately.

Swinging at Mama Karen's

Eating "torn" with Pa

Loving bath time

Annistyn's bedroom is over the garage, so some days she will stand on her stool, look out her window, and see if she can see her daddy come home. She will just look out the window and say, "Daddy, daddy, daddy!"

She got to have a "picnic" for supper and watch "Pete" (or Mickey Mouse)

We also went to the Zoo today, but Corrie was the "official" photographer, so when I get the pictures from today, I will add them to the blog. I'm hoping to start doing better at keeping the blog updated!

Happy Easter

We had a great Easter. After church, we all went to Pet and Granddaddy's for lunch and an egg hunt. It was Annistyn's first actual egg hunt.

Here are some pictures at my parent's house after church.

My mom made Annistyn and Kayli matching dresses. I loved them! The looked so cute! And Tripp and Tucker found matching shirts.

Here are the pictures of Annistyn from the big egg hunt. She even found one of the prize eggs with money!

Gone Walkin'

Since the weahter has been so nice, Katy and the boys came over, and we went on a walk. Annistyn and Tucker are getting to be such big friends.

St. Patty's Day

We are out of school on Spring Break, so Annistyn and I spent the day playing. She is so funny. We had gorgeous weather, so we spent the majority of the day outside. We are really working on our walking. I'm thinking she is going to start walking on her own very soon.

Annistyn had her green on, so she wouldn't get pinched!

28

Today is my 28th birthday. I'm getting closer and closer to the big 3-0. I remember when I thought that was so OLD! Annistyn and Josh gave me 3 new charms for my Pandora bracelet. I was so excited.

15 Months

Annistyn,

You are 15 months old. We had to quit taking your picture with the sign saying how old you are, because it was no longer working. You always have to hold it, but you don't hold it where I can see any of the words. You are into everything these days, but you are still not walking. Here you are with your daddy at 15 months old.

What are you up to these days?

  • You wear size 12 month clothes.

  • You wear size 3 diapers.

  • You are still not walking, but crawling and climbing everywhere.

  • You eat just about everything.

  • You are going to bed around 6:30 every night and sleeping til about 7:00 every morning.

You are not really doing much more than you were at 14 months. You are pretty laid back and a happy baby. We love you like crazy!

TROUBLE

We have decided to change Annistyn's middle name to TROUBLE! She is into everything these days. You can't take your eye off of her for a second. She is really fast and really sneaky. She is constantly trying to sneak up the stairs and is very fast at doing this.

The other night when I was cooking supper, I had went outside to flip over whatever was on the grill. Normally Annistyn will just sit in the kitchen while I do this, since the grill is right outside the kitchen door. Actually, she usually sits by the door and cries while I do this. Even though I hate that she cries, I know that she is not going anywhere or getting into anything. Anyways, back to my story. I was outside flipping what was on the grill and I heard the kitchen door open. I thought it was Josh coming to tell me something, so I turned around to see what he wanted. It wasn't Josh...it was a sweet little girl with a BIG smile on her face that immediately yelled "Mommy!" when I turned around. Yes, Annistyn has figured out how to open doors!

The other morning while I was in the shower, Annistyn was playing in the floor of the bathroom like she usually does. I keep a bag full of toys in there for her to play with so I can keep an eye on her while I take my shower. She got really quiet for a minute, so I pulled the shower curtain back to see what she was doing. She had unrolled an entire roll of toilet paper! Again, you could tell she was so proud of herself. When I got out of the shower, I took a quick picture of the mound of toilet paper.

So, what did I do with the mound of toilet paper, you ask? I rolled it back up for us to use! Toilet paper is not cheap! When Josh got home from work, I asked him if he noticed anything about the toilet paper, and he said no even though he had used some. He is obviously not very observant. How could you not notice the wildly rolled back up roll of toilet paper?
